As part of the Office of Human Resources, we support Equal Opportunity by:

  • Investigating complaints of discrimination, harassment and retaliation (DHR) from faculty, students, staff.
  • Responding to complaints filed through outside agencies such as the Office of Civil Rights (OCR), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH).
  • Participating as a members on various campus equity committees.
  • Providing mandatory DHR and Title IX training to managers, supervisors, and staff.
  • Give advice and counsel to various departments on equity issues.
  • Prepare the annual Humboldt Affirmative Action plan.
  • Administer the on-line sexual harassment prevention training program through Skillport.
  • Facilitate the interactive process for providing reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities.
